Red Devil Training can provide your department with very cost-effective training. We don’t charge by the student (though some classes have lab fees based on the number of students). So the overall cost of the training per student is usually a lot lower than sending a student to a “fire school.”
For example, an 8-hour RIT class at a fire school can cost $80 per student. If you send 20 firefighters, the total for your department would be $1600--not including lodging and meals. Plus your personnel would not be available for taking calls. Also, teaching to an audience of the same department (and surrounding agencies) lends itself to more consistent and tailored  training.
Red Devil Training’s approximate cost* (including average travel expenses) would be $470. That averages out to $23.50 per student (for 20 students). That is an $1100 savings. Even with a lab fee (as an example) of $10, you still save $900. Plus Red Devil Training will do the training in your station or local meeting area, leaving your personnel available for calls. And, yes, Red Devil Training will “pause” class during calls so your personnel don’t miss a thing. Also, we “advertise” each class as “X” amount of hours. If the class takes a little longer, that’s OK with us—there are no extra charges or fees for running over. And we never quit based on the clock.
Your department can be a host department for a class/seminar and charge outsiders to attend. Contact Red Devil Training for more details.
Red Devil Training believes in the phenomenon of what we call “Organizational Implosion.” This self-destructive, crippling organizational behavior is the simple practice of not looking outside at what the rest of the world is doing in your field. The longer this practice continues the more cut-off the organization becomes from the rest of their field.
In the fire service, this relates to a “we’ll do it our way” mentality. Basically, the less information that is brought in from the outside world, the more isolated a fire department becomes from the rest of the fire service. Finally, the organization collapses due to insufficient information being shared from the outside. “Collapse” can directly translate into an injury or death in the fire service.
Red Devil Training breaks that “Organizational Implosion” of training and pours on the knowledge—at a speed that everyone in the department can be comfortable with. Red Devil Training can’t and won’t replace your training division, but we can supplement and complement it.
